Call to Worship
Romans 10: 11-13
10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
In faith the woman of Phoenicia flung herself against the barriers that had been piled up between Jew and Gentile. Against discouragement, regardless of appearances that might have led her to doubt, she trusted the Saviour’s love. It is thus that Christ desires us to trust in Him. The blessings of salvation are for every soul. Nothing but his own choice can prevent any man from becoming a partaker of the promise in Christ by the gospel. {DA 403.2}
God does not discriminate. We are all the same in His eyes. He loves us all equally. Therefore, everyone has the same opportunity to call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Jesus died that we may all live. It is only by our own choice that we do not partake in this wonderful promise given to us freely by just believing. By faith, all can claim the promise given to us with love from our Savior. We cannot save ourselves, but it is by trusting in Christ Jesus that we may receive the blessing of salvation. Believe, call upon the name of the Lord, and be saved.
Our Father, God almighty,
We come to the foot of Your throne, believing, and calling upon Your name, that we may be saved. We are sorry and repent of our sins and pray for Your forgiveness. We pray that we are saved and are worthy of having our names written in Your book of life. We pray that You pour out Your Holy Spirit on us and give us Your power, strength, courage, wisdom, understanding, and discernment to do what is right, favorable, and well pleasing in Your sight. We, by faith, claim this promise You give to all. We are not ashamed to call upon Your name. We pray that we may be partakers of the promise that we may receive Your blessing of salvation. We thank You for hearing and answering our prayers. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
