Psalms 91: 10-11
91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
In the time of trouble just before the coming of Christ, the righteous will be preserved through the ministration of heavenly angels; but there will be no security for the transgressor of God’s law. Angels cannot then protect those who are disregarding one of the divine precepts.—Patriarchs and Prophets, 255, 256 (1890).
The wrath of God shall fall upon the earth in the time of trouble. Who shall be able to stand? It is those who have lived a righteous life, who have kept God’s commandments and have the faith of Jesus. Heavenly angels will protect and preserve the saints, whereas the transgressors of God’s laws will receive the plagues sent down by God. The coming of Christ Jesus is even at the door, so now is the time to come to God and repent of our sins, keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Do not wait or it will be too late, for in the time of trouble, there will be no security for the transgressor of God’s law.
Our Father in heaven,
We come to the foot of Your throne in thanksgiving, prayer, and praise. We thank You for loving us, just the way we are. We are sorry and repent of our sins and pray for Your forgiveness. We pray that when You come to take Your saints home, that we will be found among You and the heavenly host to be taken to our new heavenly home, New Jerusalem. We pray that You will grant us Your power, so while we wait for Your coming, we may live a righteous life here on this earth. We pray that You will increase our faith, and help our unbelief. Save us dear Lord, and it’s in the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
