The Wellspring of the Reformation
“Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!”-Jeremiah 9:1
The Word of God has come to us, from a fountain pen of tears.
The prophet Jeremiah wept day and night for those slain far and near.
Can there be a reformation without the weeping of the seers?
I ask can there be a reformation without godly fear?
Look at Peter sinking as he feared the stormy atmosphere!
If we do not wish to sink, we must to God adhere!
Those who wish to bring in sheaves must go forth with tears.
Just as Christ poured out His heart for Lazarus, who sickness was severe.
Can evangelism be conducted without prayers going to God’s ear?
I ask can there be a reformation without godly fear?
Look at how much Jesus loves you, to His heart your dear!
If we want a reformation, we must serve God with cheer!
“He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”-Psalm 126:6
