1 John 1: 7
1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Efficacy of Christ’s Blood-
Thank God that He who spilled His blood for us, lives to plead it, lives to make intercession for every soul who receives Him. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.... We need to keep ever before us the efficacy of the blood of Jesus. That life-cleansing, life-sustaining blood, appropriated by living faith, is our hope. We need to grow in appreciation of its inestimable value, for it speaks for us only as we by faith claim its virtue, keeping the conscience clean and at peace with God. This is represented as the pardoning blood, inseparably connected with the resurrection and life of our Redeemer, illustrated by the ever-flowing stream that proceeds from the throne of God, the water of the river of life.15 {SD 226.2}
From Christ Jesus, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Our Father, which art in heaven,
We come into Your presence in thanksgiving, praise, and prayer. You have told us if two or more are gathered in Your name, that You are in our midst. We thank You for the privilege of prayer, our lifeline to heaven. We thank for the Spirit and Your light and Word to live by. That we may abide in You and You in us. We pray to reflect Your light unto this dark world for those who are walking in darkness to come into the light that we may have fellowship one with another. Thank God, for Christ Jesus who spilled His blood for us, lives to plead it, and lives to make intercession for every soul who receives Him. Christ Jesus, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. We are sorry we have sinned against You and humbly repent of our sins and pray for Your forgiveness. You have told us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Our life is in the blood of Christ Jesus. Thank You for Your life-cleansing, life-sustaining blood shed on our behalf, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Thank You for washing us, justifying us, and sanctifying us in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. Thank You for giving us fellowship with each other through the light You shine upon the world, and truly, our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Christ Jesus. Thank You for being the light of the world, for in You there is no darkness at all. Thank You for cleansing us from all sin. We thank You for hearing and answering our prayers, in the name of Christ Jesus, we pray. Amen.
