Genesis 2:2
2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Seven Literal Days—
The weekly cycle of seven literal days, six for labor, and the seventh for rest, which has been preserved and brought down through Bible history, originated in the great fact of the first seven days ( Spiritual Gifts 3:90). {1BC 1081.5}
The Seventh Day Sabbath goes back to the beginning of time. God declared the seventh day as a day of rest, which is what He did at the beginning of creation. God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it. It is the fourth commandment, unless you follow the popery’s order after they changed it. The Seventh Day is God’s Holy Day and always has been. Nowhere in the Bible was the sanctity of God’s Holy Day changed from Saturday (the seventh day) to Sunday (the first day). It was man’s creation in AD321 when Emperor Constantine declared Sunday (a pagan holiday) as the new day of worship for Christianity. This is but one Pagan tradition and error worked into Christianity. Look to the Bible and do not follow man’s traditions lest you fall into a ditch.
Our Father, which art in heaven,
We thank you so much for making the Seventh Day Sabbath for man. It is The Day when You rested, and we likewise can rest from our labors. We thank You for this day to worship You in Sprit and in Truth. Thank You for setting this day aside for Your Holy purpose. We thank You for giving us this day to congregate as a church and commune with each other and with You to receive a Word from on High. We pray for the whole world to follow Your Bible truths and principles, and not in following the traditions and doctrines of men. We thank and praise You, in the name of Christ Jesus, we pray. Amen.
