Isaiah 43: 12

43:12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have showed, when [there was] no strange [god] among you: therefore ye [are] my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I [am] God.

The Desire of Ages, 347

Our confession of His faithfulness is Heaven’s chosen agency for revealing Christ to the world. We are to acknowledge His grace as made known through the holy men of old; but that which will be most effectual is the testimony of our own experience. We are witnesses for God as we reveal in ourselves the working of a power that is divine. Every individual has a life distinct from all others, and an experience differing essentially from theirs. God desires that our praise shall ascend to Him, marked by our own individuality. These precious acknowledgments to the praise of the glory of His grace, when supported by a Christlike life, have an irresistible power, that works for the salvation of souls.— {ChS 16.3}

Our own life experience, our testimony is the most effective witnessing tool as a Christian. The experiences that shape our life as a Christian have a powerful impact on those who are not yet believers, but know there is something missing in their life that makes them incomplete. That something is Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Once they are able to put away all the false idols in their life, they can surrender their all to Christ. Our testimony tells that we are human and have made mistakes, but by God’s love and saving grace, we are forgiven. We may not be exactly where we want to be, but thank God, we are not where we used to be.

Our Father in heaven,

We thank You for Your love and saving grace. We come to You as sinners, and are sorry and humbly repent of our sins. We pray for Your forgiveness, wash us clean in the blood of Christ. We pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, grant us strength to overcome and put away all the idols in our life. We pray that You speak through us while we are witnessing to others of Your love and saving grace. May our testimony work for the salvation of souls. We thank You for allowing us the privilege of walking with You to become the Christian You created in Your own image. We thank and praise You, in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen.
