Exodus 15:26
15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the LORD that healeth thee.
Christ had been the guide and teacher of ancient Israel, and He taught them that health is the reward of obedience to the laws of God. The great Physician who healed the sick in Palestine had spoken to His people from the pillar of cloud, telling them what they must do, and what God would do for them. Christ gave to Israel definite instruction in regard to their habits of life, and He assured them, “The Lord will take away from thee all sickness.” When they fulfilled the conditions, the promise was verified to them. “There was not one feeble person among their tribes.” {CD 121.1}
These lessons are for us. There are conditions to be observed by all who would preserve health. All should learn what these conditions are. The Lord is not pleased with ignorance in regard to His laws, either natural or spiritual. We are to be workers together with God for the restoration of health to the body as well as to the soul. —The Desire of Ages, 824, 1898 {CD 121.2}
We are so blessed that God has given to us all the health principles we will ever need to be free from illness and disease. The bodies we dwell in are not ours but of God. We need to take care and preserve our God given temples. If we do, God will fulfill His promise of healing to us, provided we are obedient to His health laws. Do not make the same mistake the Egyptians made. Hearken unto the voice of God and do that which is right in His sight and the Lord will take away from thee all sickness. Will you let Christ Jesus be your guide, teacher, and healer? I pray that you will.
Our Father, God almighty,
We thank You for being our great Physician. For healing us of all illnesses and diseases, all ailments, aches and pains. We pray for Your continued blessings and mercies. We pray that You touch us with Your healing hand. That You heal us spiritually, mentally, and physically, that You restore us an revive us, keep us healthy, and make us whole. Give us the strength and courage to keep all Your statutes. To hearken unto Your voice and continue to be workers with You for the restoration of health to our bodies as well as our minds and souls. You are the Lord that healeth. Save us and forgive us of our sins. We thank You and praise You, in the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen
