The Fog of Doubt

Colossians 3:3

3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Rising Above the Fog of Doubt—

The soul that loves God, rises above the fog of doubt; he gains a bright, broad, deep, living experience, and becomes meek and Christlike. His soul is committed to God, hid with Christ in God. He will be able to stand the test of neglect, of abuse and contempt, because his Saviour has suffered all this. He will not become fretful and discouraged when difficulties press him, because Jesus did not fail or become discouraged. Every true Christian will be strong, not in the strength and merit of his good works, but in the righteousness of Christ, which through faith is imputed unto him. It is a great thing to be meek and lowly in heart, to be pure and undefiled, as was the Prince of heaven when He walked among men (The Review and Herald, December 3, 1889). {7BC 907.12}

Christ Jesus said that the world would hate us as they hated Him first. However, that should not stop us from being Christ like. It did not stop Christ as He walked this earth. By the Holy Spirit, Christ lives in us and us in Christ. He has imparted His righteousness unto us that gives us strength to press forward in right doing. We can do all things through Christ Jesus, which strengthens us. Those that love God die to self-daily yet are alive in Christ. By faith, we rise above fear and doubt as we continue marching to Zion. Beautiful, beautiful Zion.

Our kind and gracious Father,

We humbly thank You for this honor and privilege of being witnesses to the world of Your death, burial, and resurrection. We thank You for Your Spirit that lives and dwells within us. Thank You for imputing Your righteousness unto us to help us do what is right in Your sight. Help us to continue our walk and may we be as pure and undefiled as You are. We are all sinners and come short of Your glory. We thank You for redeeming us and making us whole. We pray that You grant us Your strength and courage to continue forward proclaiming the everlasting gospel to all peoples and nations. We thank and praise You, in the name of Christ Jesus, we pray. Amen.
