Spiritual Prosperity and Christian Liberality
In the name of the Lord, I beseech my brethren and sisters, at this crisis in our work, to come up to the help of the Lord, to the help of the Lord against the mighty. Withholding from God always brings a curse. Spiritual prosperity is closely bound up with Christian liberality. Hunger only for the exaltation of imitating the divine beneficence of the Redeemer. You have the precious assurance that your treasure is going before you to the heavenly courts. {CS 49.1}
There is a correlation between Spiritual Prosperity and Christian Liberality. The more You give of yourself to God, the more you will be blessed. However, if you withhold from God, a cursing will undoubtedly come. While on this earth, Jesus continually placed the needs of others before His. This is His nature; He did not have to think about it twice. Christ was in the business of ministering to those in need, which is to be our business as well. We are to imitate His divine beneficence. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6: 21. Store up your treasures in heaven, where they will not rust or become moth eaten.
Dear God,
We thank You for giving us the privilege and honor of helping in carrying out the plan of salvation side by side as Your co-laborers. We thank You for being an example unto us, that we may imitate Your divine beneficence. We thank You for providing for our families and us. We pray that the portion we share with Your people will be a blessing unto them and a blessing to us as well. May we all get to experience all of Your heavenly splendor and treasure in Your heavenly kingdom. We pray that we all may continue to be faithful in our stewardship with all You have blessed us. This is our prayer, in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen.
