Call to Worship
Isaiah 44:22
44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
Steps to Christ 52
None are so sinful that they cannot find strength, purity, and righteousness in Jesus, who died for them. He is waiting to strip them of their garments stained and polluted with sin, and to put upon them the white robes of righteousness; He bids them live and not die. {SC 52.3}
We as sinners are called by God to return unto him. He has told us that he will blot out our sins if we return to him and he will clothe us in white robes of righteousness. Even if we have not perfected our Christian character, he will redeem us if we come to him. I know that I am not exactly where I’d like to be, but I thank God I am not where I used to be. Let us Praise God and give Him Glory for His love, long suffering, for His mercy, compassion, and grace. Let us return unto God, so that we may live and not die.
Dear God,
We come to You as sinners, asking for forgiveness, that You may blot out our sins and redeem us as You have promised. We want to live and not die. Please strip us of our filthy rags, and put on us Your white robe of righteousness. We ask that You help us and give us the strength to overcome all sins, even as Jesus overcame, and be more like Jesus every day. Lead us and guide us and keep us on a path of righteousness, for your name’s sake. Let nothing come between us. Bless our worship and anoint us with Your Holy Spirit. You have called us to return unto You, we are here, and there is no place we’d rather be than with You. We thank You for hearing and answering our prayers. We thank You and praise You, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
