Mark 4:30
4:30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
Not Like Earthly Governments—
The government of the kingdom of Christ is like no earthly government. It is a representation of the characters of those who compose the kingdom. “Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God?” Christ asked, “or with what comparison shall we compare it?” He could find nothing on earth that would serve as a perfect comparison. His court is one where holy love presides, and whose offices and appointments are graced by the exercise of charity. He charges His servants to bring pity and loving-kindness, His own attributes, into all their office work, and to find their happiness and satisfaction in reflecting the love and tender compassion of the divine nature on all with whom they associate (The Review and Herald, March 19, 1908). {5BC 1111.9}
What a tremendous joy it will be to make it to heaven. We can only imagine what it will be like, as there is nothing on this earth that can compare. Everything in perfect harmony where love and grace does abound. However, until that day when Kingdom come, we are to carry out the example that Christ Jesus left for us while He walked this earth. To have pity and loving-kindness towards our brothers and sisters. As representatives of Jesus, to demonstrate Holy love on earth as is in heaven. To proclaim the everlasting gospel and lead all peoples to the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.
Dear God,
We thank You for giving up divinity and taking on humanity to come here to this earth as an example for all. We thank You for all Your loving kindness towards us, even as the sinners we are and totally unworthy. To have shed Your blood for our sakes, for the remission of sin. We pray that we can be as You and reflect Your love and compassion unto all with whom we associate. We pray that we will soon see You coming in the clouds to take us home to the Kingdom of God. Save us and forgive us of our sins we pray, in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen.
