God Will Refill the Hand

If all will act their part, the barrenness of the Lord’s vineyard will no longer speak in condemnation of those who profess to follow Christ. Medical missionary work is to open the door for the gospel of present truth. The third angel’s message is to be heard in all places. Economize! Strip yourselves of pride. Give to God your earthly treasure. Give what you can now, and as you cooperate with Christ, your hand will open to impart still more. And God will refill your hand, that the treasure of truth may be taken to many souls. He will give to you that you may give to others.—The Review and Herald, December 10, 1901. {CS 50.1}

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24: 13-14. We have our mission, to present the everlasting gospel to the whole world that we may have an expected end. As followers of Christ, it is our duty to cooperate with Christ, give of what has been given to us, and impart unto others. The vineyard is large and it will take plenty of resources to take the treasure of truth to many souls. Give what you have and God will refill your hand. This is part of God’s plan. In order for us to receive, we must give to others. The branch that abides in the vine will put forth much fruit.

Dear kind and gracious Father,

You are the vine and we are the branch. We pray that we may continue to abide in You and put forth much fruit. We pray that You continue to refill our hand so we may impart unto others Your sweet Word of Truth that the treasure of truth may be taken to many souls. We claim Your promise that this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. We thank You for giving us the honor of working with You as stewards of all that is Yours. We pray that You grant us the faith and courage to endure unto the end, that we may be saved. We thank You and praise You, in the name of Christ Jesus, we pray. Amen.
