Psalms 37: 5-6
37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.
37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
We need to follow more closely God’s plan of life. To do our best in the work that lies nearest, to commit our ways to God, and to watch for the indications of His providence—these are rules that ensure safe guidance in the choice of an occupation. {Ed 267.3}
There is an old adage that says “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” In some respects, this is true. Plans, goals, and structure can bring order and direction in your life. But ultimately, God’s plan trumps all of your plans. God knows the beginning from the end. So, it is with great love and care that God will allow or not allow certain events to happen in your life. Plan your life knowing this, and you will not grow anxious or fearful when your plans do not pan out. Trust in God, that He is leading the way. Let God know that wherever He leads, you will follow. God will never leave you nor forsake you, and that promise you can rely on, and plan your life around.
Dear God,
We thank You and are eternally grateful for the sacrifice You made of Your only begotten son, that if we believe in Him, we should not perish but have everlasting life. We have not always obeyed Your voice, and are sorry and repent of all our sins. We thank You for speaking to us through Your Word, that we may know and follow Your Word, and be made free from sin. We surrender our life to You so that wherever You lead, we will follow. We pray that You will help us abide by Your plan for us, which leads to Your Heavenly Kingdom. We pray that You continue to speak to us and that we may hear and understand Your voice. Save us, dear Lord, forgive us of our sins, in the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen
