1 Chronicles 22: 13
22:13 Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.
God Blesses Those Who Cherish Principle—
Did the Lord make a mistake in placing Solomon in a position of so great responsibility? Nay. God prepared him to bear these responsibilities, and promised him grace and strength on condition of obedience. [1 Chronicles 22:13 quoted.] {3BC 1128.1}
The Lord sets men in responsible places, not to act out their own wills, but His will. So long as they cherish His pure principles of government, He will bless and strengthen them, recognizing them as His instrumentalities. God never forsakes the one who is true to principle. (Manuscript 164, 1902). {3BC 1128.2}
Take heed not to miss God’s promises. You will receive His blessings when you remain faithful to God’s statutes and judgements. His promises are conditional as they are prefaced with words such as then, and if. God’s instructions are clear enough for all to understand, and His blessings are for all to receive if they trust and obey. Take time to read the Bible and learn of all God’s promises waiting for you to claim. God’s promises are sure and His Word is everlasting. Be strong and of good courage, take heed to God’s commandments, and then shalt thou prosper.
Dear God,
We thank You for giving us Your Word to live by. For providing us instruction to keep us safe in this world, lest we stumble and fall into a ditch. Thank You for Your Word that prepares us for great responsibility, and for granting us Your grace and strength that we can fulfill Your will for us in our life. We thank You for using us as Your vessels to proclaim the everlasting gospel that all may learn of Your love for them. We claim Your promises and all the blessings You have in store for us, and we thank You in advance for the blessings to come. Help us to trust and obey, in the name of Christ Jesus, we pray. Amen.
